The Horse Rider’s Mechanic Workbooks

HRM - A system for improving your riding that is simple to implement and simple to pass on if you teach

If you like a straightforward approach you will love the Horse Rider’s Mechanic workbooks.

These workbooks appeal to riders of all levels, from people who just ‘ride for pleasure’ to professionals such as trainers, coaches/riding instructors. They are crammed with usable information about what will work and what won’t, and why.

Riding is not easy, but these workbooks will help to make it as easy as possible for you and will give you lots of invaluable tips to pass on if you teach.

These workbooks are supported by numerous free (website) articles and snippets and the list keeps growing all the time. There is also on-line support in the form of a Facebook page where you can ask questions. Once you have bought a workbook you can even email us with a riding problem. We do ask that we can use the question and answer (with your identity removed if you wish) on Facebook or our website as an example for others to learn from.

Why would you buy from us?

There are many good reasons that make our workbooks worth buying. Yes there is lots of free information out on the Internet (there is a lot of free information on this site and our other very well respected website www.equiculture.com.au) but it can be difficult to decide if free information on the Internet is from a reputable source. Unless you have been around the horse world for a while it can be difficult to tell who is talking (horse) sense. We pride ourselves in talking horse sense (lots of people love our work – click here).

Just one of many reviews of the HRM workbooks:

I was recovering from a broken ankle when I discovered these two books. The ankle injury needless to say was a horse fall. These two books have helped me enormously. I had no idea how crooked I was on my horse but reading book 1 on position gave me a good guide to the correct riding position. The second book on balance has helped me become secure in the saddle. I can now stand in my stirrups at the trot without balancing off my reins and jerking the bit in my horse’s mouth.

I still refer to these books often as I find myself drifting back into my old bad habits.

Both books are easy to read with great illustrations so you can see the correct position that you need to achieve. The information I have gained from reading these books has made riding more relaxed and fun and it certainly has made my horse a lot happier too!
